We have an old boiler which is programmed using a Landis and Gyr RWB2 timer. It seemed straightforward but the obvious answer isn't doing anything, the boiler just runs whether timer says off etc. We've tried altering frost thermostat but then heating goes off but doesn't come back on when timer says it should! Can anyone help?
My boiler and programmer was fitted 10 years ago. The programmer no longer keeps the correct time. It does not switch off at 10.30pm, and I have to correct it. Then it does not come on at 7-30 as it should so I have to get up and correct it.
Does this mean a new programmer, or can it be repaired?
I am having exactly the same problem its driving me MAD!!! I have set the timer and moved the switch to 'twice' but it doesnt come on when it should. I dont know if this is the right thing to do!
Also, I cant put the heating on without the hot water coming on too!
Please help I'm sick of waking up in the morning with no hot water!
Hi,please can any body help me with my landis&GYR programmer, its an old version and i don't know how to use how can i override the programme, whats boost mean?and what does it do?if any one got the user manual for it can you please email it to me saeedabdelwahed@yahoo.com
thanks
I have the same problem with my programmer, I have reset it by undoing the bottom 2 small screws and gently pulling the programmer off its wiring chasis this resets the prog. Try a decent new battery. I have done this few times over the years, and now plan to replace the programmer
The switch feed for the boiler comes from either the 3 port or 2 two port valves.
Maybe the micro switch is shorted out on the valve which has a permanent supply to it.
