ho can i fix my lawnmower?

i hit a small stump with my lawnmower.. it now runs really rough and dies out, the engine stopped as soon as i hit it. I dont thing the blade is bent. although i am not sure about the shaft. it will run but as soon as it gets in a bind it dies out..
