Can anyone fix a cracked cut glass bowl or knows how?
I have exactly the same problem as Debbie elsewhere on this site, I stupidly put this beautiful Spiegelau large cut glass trifle bowl in the dishwasher and it came out cracked. It has not come apart but is cracked right across. Like Debbie's bowl it is very thick, it has frosted (or etched?) sections with fruit designs and a crenellated top edge. Is there any way to mend this? Please help!
I have a beautiful cut glass vase from the Czech Republic. One of the little round (ball-like) legs broke off. The break is very clean.What is the best solution to repair it? The vase has much sentimental value. Thank-you.
Try epoxy. Some of it can be injected. I am
currently working on an exquisite footed bowl (very
thick, intricately cut, was being hand washed in
very lukewarm water when we heard these multiple
rapid fire cracking sounds) with at least five or
six cracks. The bowl is still intact. I am adding
epoxy from both sides. So far, so good. If you're
interested I'll keep you posted.
