Baxi combi 80 eco poor hot water?I have a Baxi combi 80 eco that doesnt seem to heat water properly but the central heating works fine. when i call for DHW the boiler fires up (fan and pump working also) and the water initially heats up but then starts going from warm to cold even with the temperature set to maximum and the tap running slowly, i have flushed the heat exchanger twice with acid. changed the DHW diaphram in the diverter valve, micro switches are working, temperature sensor showing a resistance(lessening with heat) and nothing visibly wrong with the pcb. Could anyone help????

yes your boilers run properly but no hot water warm water yes the pcb is the fault you need a new one to confirm use a multi-meter and check a few diodes and you will not get a good reading go to warmsafe £60 all in

Hi.
Got a strange issue also with baxi eco 80.
Only small flow of water gets hot.
Turn up the water pressure and it goes cold.
Heat exchanger replaced, both diagphrams in diverter valve replaced but still same problem.
New dhw sensor installed.
Any info would be much appreciated as I'm totally lost now.
Thanks

hiya, I have the same problem with a BAxi combi 80Eco. sigh.
This above is useful information, but i have now:
# replaced the diaphragm assembly. The old one was weeping slightly through the pushrod but seemed ok but anyway it is in the bin...
# Replaced the plate Heat exchanger. Again I had a slight leak on the old one, but seemd ok on investigation when uninstalled, but anyway..
I still am only getting lukewarm water from the boiler.
My next step is to replace the temp sensor and/or the pressure dif assembly, both relatively cheap.
SO my question is .. given the above, is likely or possible that there is a problem on the DHW on the PCB which otherwise it acts fine?
Obviously replacing this is my next step, but i'd be interested if anyone else has any similar issues.
cheers and back to the boiler..

HI everyone i have cured the problem now. it turned out to be the smaller ten plate heat exchanger behind the pump and flow valve. flushed out with acid and now have excellent and nearly instant hot water. hope this answer will help someone else.
cheers

thank you i will try the sensor tomorrow. unfortunatly i am not qualified to deal with gas pressures etc. A little bit more info for you if the sensor doent work.
The boiler is igniting and going to a small flame when i demand DHW but then extinguishes itself then restarts in about five seconds. also the CH is now doing similar but the boiler is igniting for about ten seconds and staying on full flame then switching off, then repeating.
thanks again steve.

does flame stay on full rate then extinguish then come back on full again and repeat repeat.....
if yes, drain pressure from boiler and change temp sensor.
normal hot water operation would not have the boiler extinguish during demand, the boiler should recognise its getting to temp and drop the flame to just a small tick over.
id try that first, (after id checked high and low gas pressures) but im allowed to do that, if you're not, try changing sensor...ive changed many on them.
