I would like to personally thank Phil for his explanation and detail in solving the issue relating to the dreaded E5 fault coding on the belling dishwasher. you have saved my marriage, and if ever our paths should cross the first one will be on me

yes had E5 at the end of cycle for months but today had it at the start of a cycle so no dishwashing required immediate action...blew in to the yoyo (click click) and black pipe (comedy buble sound) and yep it worked. brilliant - thanks for the tip, clearly the manual is no help when Error code E5 pops up

Same problem fixed within a few minutes. Just mention though, it doesn't have to be fiddly. The "yoyo" just pulls out of it clip fixing and just pushes back in afterwards.

Phil your a Star and deserve a medal,
Took around 10mins to fix and saved a lot on repair bills.
If only i had this info before, as the last machine (same model) had the same problem and was replaced under warranty by an independant repairer who no doubt claimed for all his costs back.

Thanks Phil. Fantastic. It realy works. It took me about 15 mins. The dishwasher is just running through its cycle now.It was a bit tricky getting the black rubber pipe of the yoyo, take it easy otherwise you might end up "walking the dog" "around the world" if the yoyo comes off its flimsy fitting. I had to find a piece of tube to blow into the yoyo, which made a click click
sound after i had blown into it. Otherwise it was easy.
I'm hoping it all goes well from now on, It may save another £400. Thanks again.

The error codes seam to mean very little, I,ve had just abot all of them, but I would agree with the genral rule that the problem is with the pressure switch. Most of the equipment is quite robust.

fantastic - I thought the machine was done for, another favour, does anyone have an instruction manual for running the machine? Ours got thrown away soon after we installed it, I have been running the same program since then.

I had E1, Phil's answer is correct! Only difference on my machine is the "yoyo" is brown. It is on the right as you look at the machine with a narrow black tube going into it. NOT the fat black tube on the left!
Once again Phil thanks! Saved me a bundle I reckon!

I had this light and E1 as well alternatley. i fixed it in 5 mins by
1:Remove the metal front panel from the dishwasher. this may be hidden by you kitchen kickboard its held on with 5 posi screws.
2: find a round black plasitc lump, similair to a yoyo!.
3:remove the rubber pipe that goes into it and blow down the pipe(you will hear air blowing into the dishwasher) then blow into the plasitc lump(you should hear it rattle)
4:put it all back together.
The black plastic lump is the pressure sensor, water gets stuck in it so the dishwasher thinks theres water inside so tries to pump it out but the pressure sensor still says there is water in so you get the error. Blowing through clears the water, ive doen this twice now and fixes it several months.

JP,
Error E5 is a blockage somewhere - either drainage tube bent, siphon blocked or drainage pump blocked (according to manual). Another question/answer on this website (I searched for 'IDW 630 repair' [note the spaces]) said they left it for a few days/weeks and tried again and it worked!
If it is the pump then I assume that will be costly to repair - I was seraching web to see if anyone knows how to do it!
I have same problem and intent to run with a dishwasher cleaner to see if that helps.
