How can I install a light switch with a neon indicator?

I have a room I used as a dark room in the olden days. The light switch was located outside the room. I have now converted it into a little office but keep forgetting that I have the light switched on once the door is closed and I am outside the room. If the switch had a neon indicator that came on once the light was on I would know that it needs to be switched off. Is it possible to swap the current switch for one with a neon?

in the light switch, when the switch is off,the led is on,so you can see where the switch is,and when the light is on,the led is off

you then have the thyristor, this is used in light dimmers, its like a diode, but it has was we call a gate trigger, the more current that you put to the gate, the more current goes through,so your light gets dimmer or dimmer, the transister works in the same way,it amplifies current.

dont mean to be rude peccavi,do you know what a diode is?a diode is like a one way valve,it allows current to flow in one direction only, and when it does,it illuminates,so it not need a neutral connection,so live in one end, live out the other,i am an electronic engineer by trade peccavi, and as the norm,i expect every one to know what i know,i know its not the case, sorry if i offended you, never ment to,

I rely on you for my education - you're quite good but a little brusque in your style - thanks nevertheless.

So - in the light switch with the illumination - the device - LED or Neon no matter - how does it connect?

Anxious to get up to speed... :)
