Help Belling Farmhouse wiring at back melted? We recently aquired a 4 yr old Belling Farmhouse Electric cooker and had it connected by a Qualified Electrician 4 months ago. It has been brilliant until half way through the sunday roast then it stopped working. Checked fuse on main board and that was fine, the main cooker switch on the wall showed that all was ok as the light was on, but on further investigation, having pulled the cooker out there is significant melting of wires and black burn marks coming from the connecting wires to the cooker. What has gone wrong? Any suggestions before I call the Electrician back and whop him with the roasting tin?

if there is a problem with knock it off at the wall, the oven element might be burned out, is there power to the rest of it? are the hobs working,? get him back out to check it out again , tell him the wires are burning, at the back, give him a chance to expalin. and then hit him with the roasting tray. no dont" but get him to check it out, and turn it off from the wall at night,
