Hotpoint condenser dryer (Hotpoint Ultima TCM65)?My Hotpoint condenser dryer (Hotpoint Ultima TCM65) has stopped working, its been a wonderful machine for over 5yrs. The drum turns, power is all there, but it won't turn on pressing start? Everything spins, except the drum and elements heat up and glow, if i help it along it will spin slowly under its own power. Iv cleaned filter, condenser unit, and checked evwerything i can think of. It was working fine, but has suddenly developed this fault. Would i be right to assume the motor brushes are gone? Thanks

Hi, i have written before but couldnt find a suitable answer regarding the machine drum turning, if helped to start it will turn but as the unit is a reverse action one this can be very tedious as you can imagine lol. At first i thought it maybe a motor brushes issue but on disassembling(how did they build it lol?)i see there are no brushes, but an inline relay condenser, which does look slightly out of shape and leading me to assume this has blown internally and is likely the problem, if not, id hazard a guess its playing a part in the problem.....could you let me know if im getting warmer? Thanks....Steve
