how can I fix an F14 fault on dyson cr01 washing machine?
The hot water inlet hose broke flooding machine. Replaced hose, no leaking water. No water in machine. But F14 fault will not clear. No luck finding plumber with experience on dyson washing machines.
you have to tip the machine up to drain the water out of the bottom because there is a float that lifts and activates a micro switch so until that is clear of water the fault will stay on the display
I removed F14 code as follows :- After following the instructions to press the temperature & soil buttons to try to clear the error code with no effect ( YOU COULD TRY THAT FIRST) I then took the back off (there are large & small screws for this, ensure they are replaced correctly) found no water in the bottom recess, put my arm in (LH bottom) and fiddled with the float & switch,I then did the button pressing as before to get the diagnostic code & the door lock clicked & I was able to remove clothes that i had n there.
I then switched the machine off & on again & found the error code had gone.
I think the machine was overloaded, it failed at the end of the spin cycle, so there was no water in the drum
& I suspect the cause of the problem is that extreme vibration may have disturbed the switch in the bottom
