Technics SA-CH550 Cutting Out?Technics SA-CH550 Cuts out at loudish volume (-24 dB), if you try to vamp the amp up, it just switches off the system. I took the amp unit apart, and the fan does turn-on (and off) as you push the volume but it's not enough to keep the amp from turning-off, presumably to stop it over-heating.
Should the fan be on permanently, as if so, I could just wire it in elsewhere to the onboard power?
Any advice appreciated and if anyone knows a good shop in the E1 area of London, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks

Hello, I have one and with the same problem!!
Well, I tryed to cool the amp down with a permanent blower (by a compressor) and puted a thermocouple in the amp to know is temp.
So... without the blower and with the integrated fan, the amp cuts of at +-38ºC and with the blower it cuts anyway but at 23ºC (Amb. Temp = 20ºC), so I think that it is another problem and not the amp over heating!
