How can I fix the flip mechanism on my clock radio?
Is it possible to fix the flip mechanism on an old clock radio such as A Sanyo Stereocast (circa 1979)? The radio works fine but clock flipping mechanism is not working. Can it be fixed easily? Any help or suggestions appreciated.
I have a Panasonic RC-6003 flip clock with the same problem. I opened it, and the main gear was broken.
I dissassemble it, and I fixed the main gear with resin.
Hi, I couldn't find anyone willing to work on my 70's panasonic clock radio which also had stopped flipping, so in desperation my husband took it apart himself. He lubricated the little motor which flips the numbers, with WD-40. It worked, it's flippin' again! It was worth a try, it wasn't working anyway so we didn't have anything to lose. Good luck.
