I have a Gainsborough 9.5 SDL shower unit and suddenly it has lost pressure. I have checked for blockages in the shower head and the inlet filter and there is no blockages. The water pressure appears to be adeqiate. Is ther anything further that I can check?
Hoping you can help.
Hi.As i was having a shower my shower suddenly changed to a could water and stopt the hot water now i can't get hot water any mor why i don't understant . thanks
hi there,Yup the water pressure on my shower suddenly became very low.Mains water supply fine and filter clear, but on disassembly I found the clear silicon rubber diaphragm on the plunger(like a carburetter float) split.£55 quid from the manufacturer inc vat and P & P for a replacement shower engine.
You can replace the entire motor or you can change the motor. I too suffered from getting no hot water, the fault was resolved by changing filment element. it wasnt easy - i should hav followed my own advice and changed the motor. above all I found the Gainsborough staff the most helpful. and friendly. try them via the main site.

It could be the pdr(Pressure Relief device) basically if the shower hose or head has a blockage the pressure in the unit builds up and is the released by the pdr, on the back of the outlet there is a little notch push this in and restart shower. If this works the replace the cause of blockage,
Same problem here, also drop in water temperature...This should sort it... http://www.gainsboroughshowers.co.uk/parts-store/Gainsborough-Showers/Gainsborough-95-SDL/3347/?add=3358
just had the same thing happen
it's a little rubber wotsit within the white part of the housing. a bit like a float in a cars carb
no sign of this spare part so far
